Why I'm Here

Hello, my friends. This moment has been four years in the making—a stretch of time filled with disbelief, frustration, exhaustion, and pain. And yet, finally, there’s a sense of hope. How did I end up here? That’s a long story, one that will take several posts to tell. But for now, I want to share where I am today. Although my journey began in 2022, it wasn’t until this May that I started receiving real answers.
I’m a visual learner, and pictures often communicate what words can’t. So, I’ve put together a simple flow chart to illustrate what I’ve learned:

This “dumbed‑down” chart is the clearest way to show the most important information I’ve gathered in recent months. It took four years, multiple practitioners, and a mountain of testing to reach this point—but it finally offers a meaningful picture of what happened to my body and why I’ve been struggling for so long.
There’s far too much to unpack from the last four years to fit into a single post. I could try, but it would read more like a novel. Instead, I’ll break things down into smaller, manageable pieces over several entries.
Why share all of this publicly? Partly because I need to vent. Women have been fighting these battles in the shadows for far too long. And while it’s encouraging to see the medical conversation gaining momentum, I want to add the perspective of the patient—the one living through it.
More than anything, though, I’m hoping to connect with women who understand this fight. Women who are navigating similar challenges. Maybe you’re looking for that connection too. Either way, I’m grateful you’re here.
